Almás pite

Apple Pie

Almás Pite ("AL-MOSH PEE-TE") is two layers of short-crust stuffed with an apple filling, which usually has added walnuts. It is served in squares, rather than the wedges of pie that Americans are accustomed to. Pite comes in other flavors as well, but apple is the most common.
